Located in San Francisco's Glen Park Neighborhood, Pinwheel Glen Park will offer 87 units of permanent affordable housing for low-income and formerly homeless families and seniors. Pinwheel Glen Park is split between two buildings designed to speak to Glen Park’s existing community character while maintaining elements of urban living. Its community-facing facade offers a modern take on the neighborhood's prominent design features. Both buildings feature open corridors enclosed by a polycarbonate screen with intermittent sliding panels, which shields the residents from the highway noise and pollution. Formal and informal interactions between residents are encouraged through shared open space, common areas, and amenities. A public pedestrian greenway and landscaped plaza foster neighborhood connectivity by linking the two buildings to Glen Park’s commercial district. Pinwheel Glen Park weaves together affordability and connectivity to ensure our families and seniors have access to stable and empowering living experiences.
