This studio was structured around a series of interrelated exercises. It began with choosing an obsolete artifact (an electronic book) and physically deconstructing it. Reconstruction took form of a physical non-bound book with a void inside. The folly continued the theme of solid and void with an added pinch of optical illusion. The archive concluded the series of conceptual explorations. The communal library hovers inside an abandoned swing bridge, which is reoriented to connect two previously disjointed parts of Montreal. Book shelves that double as sun shades line the perimeter of the library. The only way to save books from discoloration is to take them out and read.
